D.H. Lawrence spoke of wild things,
Never seen them sorry for their plight.
Yet here I am, a wild soul in the throngs,
Weeping for myself in the quiet of night.
Wild things, they roam and they sing,
Unburdened by regrets or the weight of the sea.
But I, a wild thing, caught in my wings,
Find myself sorry for the sorrow in me.
